Year 3 Launches into Dragons!   

Year 3 have begun their exciting new writing unit all about dragons and the classroom has been buzzing with scales, spikes and fiery imagination!

To kick things off, the children became expert dragonologists as they designed their very own brand-new dragon species. They chose to create fascinating fire, ice, mountain and forest dragons, each with unique features, habitats and powers.

The children carefully thought about their dragon’s appearance, where it lives, what it eats and the special abilities it might have. Some were fierce, some were majestic and some sounded like they would make very noisy pets!

Next, they will use their fantastic ideas to write a non-chronological report, presenting their dragon as true dragonologist experts. We can’t wait to read their informative (and possibly slightly fearsome!) reports!
