Year 1 blog:
Year 1 enjoyed an inspiring visit to Hillier Gardens, enriching their Science learning about plants, trees and animals. The children explored pond life through dipping activities, discovering insects such as dragonflies and amphibians like newts. They investigated how seeds grow, taking part in an engaging game to understand the challenges plants face and learned about the vital role of bees in pollination. The day also included exploring different herbs and their uses, as well as creating beautiful nature-inspired artwork, including a collaborative “nature curtain.” It was a memorable experience filled with curiosity, creativity and meaningful learning.
