Year 3 blog:
What do you get when you mix a coach full of excited Year 3 children, incredible artwork and a bit of clay? An unforgettable trip to Southampton Art Gallery!
From the moment we arrived, the children were full of curiosity and excitement. As we explored the gallery, they became mini art detectives—asking thoughtful questions, sharing ideas and trying to uncover the stories and messages behind each piece. It was fantastic to see their imagination and confidence shine.
One of the highlights of the day was creating their own clay faces. The children learned how to shape, pinch and smooth the clay, showing great concentration (and getting just a little bit messy!). The results were wonderfully creative and full of personality.
Throughout the day, the children showed brilliant enthusiasm, curiosity and focus. They embraced every moment and represented the school beautifully.
A truly amazing day of learning, exploring and creativity—well done, Year 3!
