Eco Blog Autumn 2025

We have had a fantastic start to the year with our new Eco Warriors.

We are so excited to tell you more about what we have planned...

This year we will be working on different Eco projects across our year groups based on the Global Goals with a primary focus on Goal number 5- Clean Sanitation and water. As well as this, we are excited to be starting some Eco projects focussing on sustainability and responsible consumption!

We have already held our first meeting and our year group Eco teams are busy coming up with ideas and competitions based on their Eco thread for this term which are listed below. We hope that each year group championing an area will bring breadth to our school experiences. All areas and actions will be shared with all pupils and all year groups. We are currently discussing whether we'd like to stay as a champion in our year groups for one whole year or swap each half term. 

Our areas are:

Year 1 –Birds and Animals

Year 2- Planting and Growing

Year 3- Travel and Clean Air Schools

Year 4- The River

Year 5- Reducing Waste

Year 6- Sustainable living

More information will be shared shortly regarding which projects the children will be leading and running within the school, as well as termly Eco craft competitions.

We are so excited about this year and the changes we can make to make our world a better place.
