Year 3 blog:

3M Get Wrapped Up in Ancient Egypt!

3M have been dead serious about their learning in History recently- in the best possible way! As part of their Ancient Egyptians topic, they explored fascinating beliefs about the Afterlife and uncovered the detailed (and slightly gruesome!) process of mummification.

We learnt why Ancient Egyptians believed preserving the body was essential for the journey to the afterlife and how organs, natron, linen, and careful rituals all played their part. Let’s just say… it was a wrap-tivating lesson from start to finish!

To bring the learning to life (ironically!), 3M took part in role play, acting out each step of the mummification process.

The learning didn’t stop there. Pupils then produced beautiful, detailed work in their books, showing excellent historical understanding, clear explanations, and fantastic presentation. Their effort and engagement were truly mummy-ficent.

Well done, 3M, for throwing yourselves into the topic with such enthusiasm and creativity. Your hard work deserves to be preserved for eternity — or at least until the next history topic!
