Rackets Festival: A Smashing Success!

Year 3 and 4 had a fantastic afternoon at the Rackets Festival, walking up to the secondary school to take part in an exciting programme of racket-based activities. From the moment they arrived, the children were eager, focused and ready to get stuck in.

The festival was led by the Bitterne Park Secondary School sports leaders, who did a brilliant job of teaching a range of racket skills through fun, fast-paced games. The children rotated around different stations, practising control, coordination and accuracy – all while smiling, laughing and working brilliantly as a team.

We were incredibly proud of how amazing our Year 3 and 4 children were. Their enthusiasm, behaviour and positive attitudes were exemplary throughout the afternoon. They listened carefully, showed respect to the sports leaders, encouraged one another and, most importantly, threw themselves into every activity with energy and determination (and only the occasional runaway ball!).

They truly represented our school in the best possible way and should be very proud of themselves. A huge thank you to the secondary school staff and sports leaders for hosting such an enjoyable event – it was an afternoon full of learning, laughter and lots of racket action!
