Year 3 blog:

Year 3 had a fantastic time exploring everything beneath our feet on our trip to Hillier Gardens! We discovered the wonders of soil and decomposition, investigated the three types of rock and their properties and even acted out how they are formed! We were amazed to examine fossils from millions of years ago, including some fossilised dinosaur poo, which was definitely a highlight! We also explored the beautiful gardens, spotting some incredible ‘dinosaur plants’ that have existed since the Jurassic period. To finish, we set up our very own soil experiment, which we are excited to observe over the coming week to see what we discover!
