The year 1's have set sail on an exciting new writing adventure all about pirates and the classrooms have been filled with treasure, adventures and plenty of pirate talk!

To kick things off, the children became immersed in the story of The Pirate Next Door, discovering what life might be like as a real pirate. They even transformed into pirates themselves, using their imaginations to explore the world of adventures!

Next, the children have created their very own fearsome pirates to enter the Scariest Pirate Competition! They have carefully thought about their pirate’s appearance, personality and all the things that make them truly terrifying!

We can’t wait to see which scary, silly and spectacular pirates Year 1 have created!
