Year 1 blog:

We are proud of our Year 1 children in their first couple of weeks. They have had to get used to new routines and a more structured classroom set up. They now know their way around the classrooms and are learning how to be more independent. Sitting nicely together in the hall, they have enjoyed their first assemblies with Year 2. We have started our exciting pirate topic and enjoyed reading The Pirate Next Door together. Linking with this, the children are exploring maps and have visited various parts of the school to orientate themselves. We know Year 1 children make huge progress from now until July and we look forward to seeing them blossom.
