Year 6 blog:

Our Year 6 children all safely arrived in Devon and headed straight off to take part in their first activity: climbing and abseiling or high ropes. All the children showed great determination to challenge themselves and conquer any fears.

Following this, the children readied what all the adults had been saying was true: the food here is truly scrumptious! They enjoyed a delicious dinner of chicken and bacon pasta, tomato pasta, jacket potato or risotto, before heading off on a scavenger hunt or to play games and light flames around the campfire. They were amazed at their own skills when using steel to light cotton wool and cheered at their successes!

By 9pm, the children were exhausted and headed off to bed. Excited chattering could be heard for a while, but it wasn’t long before silence descended and the children (and adults!) had a well deserved rest, looking forward to what tomorrow will bring!
