Singing Club:

Peter Pan Flies into Bitterne!

There was certainly a little bit of magic in the air this week as our Singing Club took to the stage to perform Peter Pan – and what an unforgettable performance it was!

Since January, our incredible children, aged 6 to 11, have shown remarkable commitment and determination during their weekly after-school rehearsals on a Friday. Learning songs, mastering lines, remembering choreography and developing the confidence to perform in front of a packed audience is no small feat, yet they embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and resilience.

From the very first rehearsal, it was clear that something special was beginning to take shape. Week after week, the children worked tirelessly, supporting one another, encouraging each other and celebrating every success together. Their dedication, perseverance and teamwork were truly inspiring to watch.

When performance night finally arrived, every rehearsal paid off. The children lit up the stage with confidence, energy and outstanding talent. Their singing was powerful, their acting was full of character and their commitment to every scene captivated the audience from beginning to end. Whether delivering a heartfelt solo, performing as part of the ensemble or bringing much-loved characters to life, every single child played an important part in making the production such a phenomenal success.

Productions like these simply would not be possible without the support of so many people. A huge thank you goes to everyone behind the scenes who helped with costumes, props, lighting, sound and the many jobs that made the performance possible, particularly our friends at Bitterne Park Sixth Form.

Most importantly, we would like to say how incredibly proud we are of every member of Singing Club. Their hard work, courage and determination shone through in every moment of the production. They demonstrated not only exceptional talent but also kindness, resilience and a real sense of belonging as they supported one another throughout the journey.

It was a privilege to watch our children take to the stage and create such wonderful memories together. We know this is a performance that they, and everyone lucky enough to watch it, will remember for many years to come.

Second star to the right… and straight on until morning!
