Year 6 - Price Waterhouse Coopers

Year 6 were fortunate enough to visit the local offices of PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers) in Ocean Village, Southampton. As part of PWC’s Primary Insight Day, the children had the chance to meet with and question professionals, hear about their careers, experience a live workplace and develop some essential skills for the future.

With PWC being one of the largest companies in the industry, it was a great opportunity to delve into the world of finance and accounting. During our visit, the children worked collaboratively in small teams to compete in various listening, teamwork and problem solving activities. From code-breaking to budgeting, the teams had to don their creative-thinking hats and explore the complex domain of money. The children were also taken on a live tour of the PWC office’s where they could meet and talk to professionals in their working environment. They couldn’t believe their eyes when they discovered the technology vending machine!

Now back at school, we are excited to further develop our new knowledge and understanding of the finance sector, by putting our maths learning to the test! It is clear, there are several future accountants and finance professionals amongst us.
