What a beautiful sunny day at Southampton Sports Centre!  Huge congratulations goes to our dedicated and talented children who represented Bitterne Park Primary School at the 2023 Primary Schools Track and Field championships. There were lots of successes both individually and as a team throughout the day. They ran, jumped and threw against 17 other schools!

A few highlights include:

Charles and Jacob: We really enjoyed watching and supporting everyone in the races and field events. We were particularly proud of ourselves for winning our own races in the 1000m and 600m. The atmosphere was friendly!

Mina: I liked how lovely it was to run on the proper track and it was organised by lots of friendly people but most importantly, I was really excited with how well I raced in the 80m sprint race.

Archie: I really enjoyed trying new activities, such as the rounders throw, and representing my school.

Tilly: I enjoyed competing against other schools as you have no idea what standard they are. Once I knew I had got into the final for the 60m race, I was looking forward to it all day.

Sam: I enjoyed being with new people that I hadn't met before across KS2 because now in the playground I can smile at new friends that I have made.

Charlie: A highlight for me was getting into the finals for the 60m race and being a part of the team for the relay races!
