House Competitions

We are very pleased to announce this half term's thrilling new house competitions!

Knowledge –

For our knowledge competition, we are seeking out those who are wonderful at word searches or super at sudoku to represent their house teams in our puzzle competition.  Across the school, from Year 1 to Year 6, the children will be taking part in year group competitions, culminating with a grand final in the school hall.  Who will have what it takes to solve the puzzles?

Sport –

Round up, round up - Sports day 2024 is upon us! We will spend the next few weeks training for athletic and running events - who knows, we may even see a new world record!  Sports Day is on Tuesday 21st May (weather permitting).

Charity –

Wally! Where are you? He's going to be spotted on the field along with Bitterne Park Primary School taking part in our 'Where's Wally Fun Run' raising money for the National Literacy Trust. The children can choose to either run or walk the course on the field (number of laps will be in accordance with the children’s age) in support of transforming children’s lives through literacy. The National Literacy Trust is an independent charity that empowers children, young people, and adults with the literacy skills they need to succeed. Literacy changes everything. It gives you the tools to get the most out of life, and the power to shape your future.

Last but not least is our cracking creative competition, where we will be listening out for talented songwriters who are able to create lyrics to any song with a powerful message linking to being brave, determined or kind
