During the spring 1 half term, year 5 explored the concept of stereotypes. We have considered several examples and delved into the consequences they can cause. Strategies to combat them have been discussed to equip the children with life cycles to tackle discrimination in a positive way. The children have reflected on what this means for their own lives and the power that words and assumptions can have on well-being. It has been fantastic to see how the children have proved that lively discussion and moral thinking can work effectively on Zoom. They have been fantastic this half term!
