Southampton Schools Netball Tournament

On Monday 11th March, 14 Year 5 and 6 children attended Bitterne Park School to compete in a Southampton schools netball tournament. The children were an absolute credit to the school demonstrating excellent team work and fair play from the very first match. Both teams played 9 matches each in total and perfected their netball skills throughout the rounds. Their movement to evade markers and show for the ball became ever more proficient and the speed of passing increased with the ball being moved quickly through each section and into a scoring position. The goals started flying! The Year 6 team went through to the final unbeaten, but came up against a strong St Marks team, who they had drawn with in a group match. Despite a valent effort the team had to settle for runners up. That team will now be invited to a county final. A huge congratulations to all involved.
