Eco Warriors: Crocus Planting

Crocus planting was an afternoon filled with green dreams and blooming adventures! You won't believe what happened! Our whole Eco Warrior group teamed up with the amazing Rotarian charity group to plant crocuses. It was like we were planting hope right into the ground!

The afternoon started with a buzz of excitement. We gathered together and Mr. Alan Williams from the Rotary charity group told us about the special mission we were about to embark on. We each got our own little crocus bulbs, and it felt like holding a tiny piece of magic. The Rotarian explained that these crocuses weren't just ordinary flowers. They were special because they were going to make the world a better place. They called it a "blooming gift for the planet." Wow, that sounded so cool! As every crocus represented the Rotary’s campaign to Stop Polio Now.

The Rotarian showed us how to plant the crocuses with gentle hands and caring hearts. We had to make sure we were wearing gloves then. They taught us to dig little holes, not too deep, and carefully place the bulbs inside. It felt like we were planting tiny secrets in the soil, secrets that would grow into beautiful flowers and spread happiness all around.

After all the crocuses were snug in the soil, the Rotarian Eco Heroes told us about the big picture. They said these flowers would help raise awareness about a disease called polio, which thankfully isn't as common as it used to be. I felt like a little superhero too, fighting against polio with my crocus cape!

An amalgamation of the Eco Warriors ideas and comments.
