The Year 2 children have had a lovely start to Summer 1 in their first 2 weeks!

In English, we have been writing about our amazing trip to Marwell Zoo! The children have been learning how to use descriptive language to retell their day at Marwell.  We have been talking about our experience with the adorable otters, ferocious tigers and the sluggish sloth. They have been really enthused and excited to use their memories at Marwell in their writing lessons.

In science, we have started our experiment to explore what conditions plants grow best in. We planted cress seeds and exposed them all to different living conditions. Some have access to air, light and water and some only have air and light or nothing at all! We are really looking forward to finding out which of our cress plants will grow and thrive the best.
